Can anyone recommend a dealer in the Chicago area?

You've got a few great dealers there... and a few that have been less than stellar in the past.

From personal experience, I would recommend Kurt Saphir and Cordogan's. These are two stores that I would trust.

Good Luck,

Ask for Dennis Saphir at Kurt Saphir Piano, in Wilmette (on Green Bay Road). Dennis is a kind and honest man with loads of piano knowledge. His family has been in the business forever and he is not the least bit pushy when it comes to sales. Tell him what you are looking for and he will guide you.

Best of luck with your search!

Hello Tiffany,

Which piano would interest you?
Grand? Upright? Perhaps a digital?

Jeff,

We are looking for a grand. We have looked at mainly Kawai, used and new. We don't have a lot of brand choices in our area.

Kurt Saphir Pianos, Pianoforte Chicago, Grand Piano Haus have the best selections, IMO. Pickle Piano is ok, but farther out from the city. Cordogans, maybe, or Steinway Piano Gallery.
