Hi there,

As some of you know I'm I addicted to Baroque music, but Classicism is also part of my interests. Haydn is a fine composer.

If you want to play Sonatas of this composer, but very difficult, I can recommend the following book:

Haydn, ten easy Sonatas Stretta, look at the pages...
Haydn, ten easy Sonatas Amazon

.......relatively easy, but so Haydn and fun to play.....

Kind regards,
Johan B

I’m so so so glad that you are back.

I was too busy to play the piano for last week trying to transition all my work responsibly. My last day is 1/14/22. I will be free to pursue music as a retiree. I will post latter after I play something

Didn't seem like we had much of a holiday celebration. While local shopping malls & restaurants were open, people avoided large crowds.

Looks like some of us are still in the holiday mood playing Christmas tunes. The last piece I played is a piano arrangement of "Jingle Bell Rock". We're already in January but uplifting to play holiday classics. 😇

Today I am giving Beethoven's bagatelle opus 126,1 some extra attention. It's been on the menu for quite some weeks now, and I still have not memorized the whole thing. And then there is the actual playing of it, which will keep me busy for some weeks to come. In particular there is one specific measure that requires a nimbleness which my fingers have not previously been asked to display. smile

But it's a pleasantly easy going piece which I look forward to having in my repertoire.

I love The Art of Practicing (which my teacher says is the best book ever written about practicing an instrument)!

Love to play Cole Porter's "I've Got You Under My Skin." Despite its funny name, it's a hauntingly powerful song--lyrics and music, with lots of sultry minor chords. So simple it's complex.

"...so deep in my heart, you're really a part of me, I've got you under my skin."

Hi there,

This afternoon lurking around at IMSLP.org I found some nice albums again. Two hours spent browsing some music behind the piano….
play a piece here of there and look further for the next….lovely afternoon….outside it was rainy and foggy, inside it’s warm and cozy behind the keys….. thumb

Pauer, Sunday music
Today wednesday…whatever grin
Corelli, Album
…..just look around like I do in a magazine

Kind regards,
Johan B

…….what did you play today……?
