A pretty cool video. He doesn't identify the model - a CP70 maybe? It looks a lot better now than it did with the original plastic case! I've never seen the inside of one - surprising to see a plate, very short strings, and a real action in there. Just no soundboard.

A neat project! thumb

I think some of the older electric pianos of yesteryear are still popular today, and some highly sought after.

Excellent job and I had to say "wow" when we were told the sides were of walnut. This project marries together my two life long hobbies; cabinet making and piano, albeit I have done most of my woodworking with hand tools.

Thanks for sharing Sam.

Yeah, he has a lot of very expensive tools. There was a popular woodworking show in the US back in the 1990s featuring Norm Abram that I used to watch. We made a game of counting how many different power tools he used in each episode. Of course, I couldn't afford any of them...

In my case it would be both the expense and then having the space to house standalone equipment. When I retired from work my colleagues presented me with a medium sized table saw, which I have to admit has come in useful. I do have an electric hand held plane which can reduce a piece of timber to a pile of shavings in no time (the smoothing and jack planes are definitely preferable) and a hand held electric belt sander which can gouge a furrow in a blink of an eye. All good fun.

I manage to have some fun in a one car garage with a table saw, band saw, lathe, and a bunch of hand tools. It's good to be retired!
