REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Music and/or equivalent years of experience in performance, experience in teaching private and group music lessons.
2. Excellent communication skills, patience and ability to work and explain music concepts to children.
DESCRIPTION:
Teach students how to read music, ear training, sight reading, music theory, technique, and music performance.
PIANO: prepare students for annual music exams (ABRSM and CM ). If not a current member of Music Teachers Association of California, must be willing to join.
TIME COMMITMENT/PAY:
Instructors are paid per hour which depends on the number of lessons scheduled. Students come in once a week at the same time (which is generally on weekday afternoons and on weekends). We request at least an one year commitment. Rates are higher for teachers who have higher levels of teaching/experience, and teachers who maintain excellent student retention.
