Please use this forum for posting events you
think should be on our Calendar.

Work out the details first in the other forums
(like the Forum Member Parties & Meetings Forum), then come here to post the DETAILS.

I will check them out and add them to
our calendar (if they qualify).

Hi Elena,

I must have missed it.
Can you either give me a link to the thread, or re-post here?

I am never sure whether to post this in Calendar Listings, or Concert News & Reviews, or even if it's better in Piano Forum or Pianists' Corner -- because the first two don't seem to register much activity.

I (Joseph Kubera) will be performing new music for 2 pianos and 1 piano four-hands with West Coast pianist Sarah Cahill, in two upcoming concerts -- at the Music Building of Bard College in upstate NY (near Poughkeepsie) on Nov. 7, and in Staten Island at the Muddy Cup Coffeehouse on Nov. 8. Both concerts at 8 PM. Admission to the SI concert is $10.

We are performing:

Josef Matthias Hauer – Labyrinthischer Tanz
Larry Polansky – ivt (NY Premiere)
Michael Byron – Evaporated Pleasure (NY Premiere)
Ingram Marshall – Five Easy Pieces (NY Premiere)
Terry Riley – Cinco de Mayo
Robert Ashley – Viva’s Boy
Morton Feldman – Two Pianos
“Blue” Gene Tyranny – The Decertified Highway of Dreams

I only have limited information on the Bard concert, as I didn’t set it up. For the Staten Island concert, The Muddy Cup is located at 388 Van Duzer St., near the corner of Beach St. From the Ferry, it is about a 6-minute bus ride on the S78 bus to Van Duzer and Beach. Further info at (718) 818-8100.

Thanks for listening.
