Anyone familiar with the 52" Steck line? I played one and, for the price ($3,000) it played very nicely and sounded fairly nice. I'm concerned that it is 'so' inexpensive for a large upright. The worst thing I could say about the piano is that it sounds a little 'too' dark...could use a little more life. But I'm not looking for a loud piano (but want the long strings)...and this piano got my attention because of the overall nice sound and playability. Anybody have input on the piano? Thanks in advance.

Hi Obrother

What area of the country are you located?
I can provide you with detailed information concerning the piano as well as some great pictures from the factory as I just returned from our facility in China. I was truely impressed.

Thanks Gary..I'm in the Northeast. I've already received info from a dealer. I understand that Steck is a stencil (one of many) that is now under America Sejung. Chinese isn't inherently a problem with me, however, I'm concerned that the low price point begs that quality issues, at some point, arrive. Whether it be tuning pegs holding the tuning or other issues that require an investment at the manufacturing level to ensure the product holds up, I am concerned that the piano will sound good for now but invite problems later.

As a rep, I have to take your input with a grain of salt. I still invite comment, however.
