Hello everyone. I just wanted to post that my Kawai K3 was voiced, regulated, and tuned yesterday, and the results were excellent! My piano had originally come straight out of a crate four years ago and has had some issues with tone and action consistency ever since. Finally I bit the bullet and saved up some money to have the work done. Now the piano behaves exactly the way I imagined it should, and most of my "technical problems" have completely disappeared. (So ends the frustration and self-doubt!)

I only wish that I had done this sooner!

Congratulations, Coolkid70!

There is nothing like the feeling of satisfaction we get from a well tuned, voiced and regulated piano!

When our piano plays good and sounds good, we feel good! smile

Glad to hear the good news! smile

Besides tuning, can you be more specific about what you did not like and what they did to fix it? Thanks in advance for a reply.

Wouldn't you have to ask the piano technician that question? smile

Some of the issues that I experienced were inconsistent key travel (since I had the piano, but to a lesser degree back then), nonresponse to soft play, and double hitting (which developed recently). Also unrelated to this, stepping down on the pedal produced a bad sequaking noise. Like Rickster mentioned, I'm not exactly sure of the exact adjustments that needed to be made to clear up these problems - I do know that some area in the dampers needed to be lubricated to fix the pedal issue.
