I am going to start playing duets. This is new for me. The book we are using is Weekley and Arganbright. Is this a good series? Or can you recommend a different duet book series We are early intermediate level. Would prefer classical

I am assuming you were talking about one piano four hand. I have not seen that series but I just listened to some of the recordings on YouTube, and the arrangements seem reasonable

I'm a big fan of Anderson and Roe arrangements for four-hand piano. Some are much more difficult than early intermediate, But not all are

Here is their website
http://www.andersonroe.com/all-scores

And you can find recordings of almost all of them on YouTube

Weekley and Arganbright arrangements are great. One of my favorites is a one piano 6 hands version of the Star Spangled Banner - so much fun!

Another favorite book of mine is 44 Original Piano Duets published by Theodore Presser. There is variety in difficulty, so it would probably last you quite a while. Plus, these are all in their original form - no arrangements - which is always refreshing when you want to play classical but are not yet advanced enough to play the pieces of many of the big name composers.

I don't know those books, but I can suggest a couple of very nice intermediate pieces for piano 4 hands:
Schubert - Military March D733 no. 1
Fauré - Berceuse from Dolly Suite

You might also check out the Essential Keyboard Duets series by Alfred Publishing. There are 8 volumes (if I recall correctly), and as a whole, the series covers a wide range of classical pieces from beginner to advanced levels. Some of the volumes do focus on late beginner/early intermediate material. All volumes contain originals (not arrangements) for 1 piano/4 hands. The Alfred Publishing website can provide details.
