I know the guy is probably just improvising, but these days it would not surprise me to find a transcription, MIDI version ( for digital piano ) or sheet music of a top-level Blues performance on the internet.

Any links will be appreciated !

For Blues piano transcriptions - https://bluespianosheets.com/. Some of the transcriptions require a "paid donation", you can also register for "free transcriptions". Most have links to the performances on Youtube.

I don't know about that specific tribute to Gene Harris, but I accidentally found these Gene Harris transcriptions - https://geniusharris.jimdo.com/.

Hi

As indicated at the start of the video, there is an Oscar Peterson influence here as well. And there are a lot of Oscar Peterson transcriptions out there, both officially published and not! Of course Oscar played more than just the Blues, but when he did it's about as good as you'll ever hear. In his Jazz playing you'll normally find the blues as well. Sometimes of course it's scarily difficult. You just need to practice 12 hours a day. Then it'll be easy!

There are certainly Oscar Peterson performances on YouTube with the sheet music included in the video.

I've no doubt there are plenty of other Jazz/Blues Piano players with similar sheet music available as well.

Sorry due to my incompetence with mobile phone tech I cant post links at the moment (on holiday).

Cheers

The influence of Gene Harris, who was influenced by Oscar Peterson.

Here is the beginning of the solo:

I grew up in the conditions of Soviet reality, where there were no any printed transcriptions of jazz. Everyone wishing used a tape recorder, music paper and musical ear , as best he could.

Hi

Here one of the Oscar Peterson ones I was thinking of:-

(Sandy's blues - this does go into full Jazz mode later but the opening few choruses are worth looking at)

Cheers
