This law says: if a musician places a glass with a drink in the area of his activity during a gig, there is a probability of 88 to 97 percent that the glass will tip over in one way or another. Today I again came across a visual demonstration of this law twice with an interval of 10 minutes.
At lunch time I had a rehearsal of my workshop in the rehearsal studio, where it is necessary to climb the stairs. Before that I bought a glass of coffee, in addition, I had a shoulder bag in my hands, a folder with notes and a melodica Hammond-44 on my shoulder. Approaching the studio door, I slipped on the step, the coffee and the folder fell to the floor, and I followed them. The cap of a disposable coffee glass, of course, flew off, and all the coffee spilled out on musical scores.
But that wasn’t all ! All the participants entered the studio except the drummer, who was a few minutes late. He entered, holding in his hand a glass of coffee, exactly the same like I had dropped a few minutes ago.
-“Hey, don’t put the glass near drumset, it will certainly tip over!”
And indeed:after less than a minute the curses of the drummer announced to all that my prediction came true with the accuracy of Nostradamus ...

Nahum - Fun story.

I spill my glass of water on my computer desk from time to time. But I keep drinking water at my desk. I have a glass of water here right now. When I play piano, I always put my glass of water on the floor next to my piano. Not going to risk spilling on the piano!...!

But I've ruined a few books and papers over time. Poor things got drenched.

I used to have a cat that would constantly seek out full glasses of water. The glasses would be sitting on a table and he'd tip them over just to watch the water pour out on the floor. He also used to pluck my electric guitar strings while I was playing and then look up at me to see if I thought he did well. I always smiled and said "Great job". I really miss his personality. He was our experimenter cat.
