Quarantine is bound to be taxing for most; but she sure gets that old Yamaha to sound its best.

After she scared the s.it out of me, it also seems to me that Yamaha sounds very good from a safe distance smile

She has not aged well (nor have I) ... but looks aren't everything. In particular, she's a super artist. And she is very graceful at the piano.

I saw her give a performance in Ft. Lauderdale in 1998. Very nice.

She’s always seemed like an old young person to me (but looks aren’t everything).

Lola Asstanova, on the other hand, seems very tight and springy (but looks aren’t everything).

Yuja, what can I say about her that we haven’t already seen. You get it? ‘cause she’s always skimping on clothes, so we can see everything; hence the association to having ‘seen’ too much already; therefore, there’s not much more that we could see/say about her; literally! laugh

At least it wasn't the "Suffocation" prelude. 😯

And apparently you can play classical on the GHS. Or at least Valentina can. And maybe Chuck Norris.

Considering the battered old uprights that she has coaxed some wonderful sound out of, getting such a fantastic sound out of that Yamaha must have been easy in comparison.

She is 51. She looks great for 51. People don't realise this but she had a long gap in her career, and when she came back on the scene around 10 or 12 years ago, she hid her age. Her current wikipedia says she was born in 1973 but actually if you do a cache search you'll see that it used to say 1968. Honestly I think it's fair enough that she did that because people are ageist. Fact is she can play the piano better than everyone on this forum!
