I guess the Beatles were decades ahead of their time. Many of their songs were written in the key of Facebook!

A decade is 10 semitones, so that’s not the same as E.

I like their tag line: We paid close to 30000. Our loss is your gain.

The asking prices are ridiculous. A couple of years ago, I helped a friend buy mint condition used AvantGrand N1 for $3300 (including delivery - there is no sales tax where we live). At this point, it should be close to $3k.

Well, they're only ridiculous if no one buys them at that price smile

I don't think these DPs will move. I think the seller is wishfully thinking that these are like premium grand pianos, that they're just waiting for the right buyer and it's normal for them to sit on the market for 12-24 months waiting for that circumstance. Meanwhile, anyone actually interested in a hybrid is buying them brand new, for nearly less.

This N3 Facebook ad is for $7,500 (from original ask of $10K). It's not for $5K like CooperTown was saying. Or did they change the price from $5K to $7.5K recently???

Also, even if they paid retail price plus tax and shipping on top for this N3, it wouldn't have amounted to $30K. Not even $25K... There's something to be said about dishonest sellers....

Used hybrid market seems to be improving with a decent supply being offered, at least compared to new. These are ask prices so negotiate down.

Dear Sir! Sigh! Just when I was convincing myself I have enough gear, well actually way more than enough gear - I stumble upon this post and as ritual would have it, I checked some local listings. There is a professionally serviced and tuned Yamaha U3 (from what I can see on video and description) that has caught my eye :-|

Can I declare "soft" bankruptcy? laugh

Nevertheless, the used market seems to be doing well!

A man must love a thing very much if he practices it without any hope of fame or money, but even practice it without any hope of doing it well. Such a man must love the toils of the work more than any other man can love the rewards of it.

All three are NV-10. That one near Bruce in Philly is very attractively priced.

Special mention as it seems the seller also purchased an advert here at PianoWorld.

The N2 is a rare find in the used market and this is the only one I have found currently for sale in the US.

It looks like the poster/seller of this N2 ad is Frank B. with the signature line as the founder, owner and host of PianoWorld itself??? That's pretty cool. At least you know you're buying from a good source.

I gotta say that $4500 seems to be an excellent asking price, on top of it being a rare find in the used market.
