If all of that served to produce better music...

There are so many musicians that are suddenly even more broke than normal due to venue shutdowns that there is a ton of gear on the market for desperate prices. It feels somewhat Ghoulish though, preying on the misfortune of others.

It's a great time for selling instruments. Secondhand prices are higher than they were in early 2020.

Perhaps PA's and guitar or keyboard amps for performance venues are not in high demand right now.

My experience is with Craigslist in Austin in general, and for the used Eurorack synth market in the US. I can totally see it not applying to pianos though.

I went to test some Kawai DP-s at the distributor in Sofia last week. There are usually at least 10 digital pianos on the floor. There were none He said people have been buying digital pianos like mad, so he can't even keep floor models for demos. OTOH, there was one upright piano, the cheapest Kawai K15E. It was absolutely mind blowing piano considering the price of about €3000 😲 I would wholeheartedly recommend this piano to anybody that's considering a high-level digital piano but is OK with an acoustic (noise and maintenance) - it's just so much better than a typical digital.

Six months ago, my dealer told me he was selling everything he had. See the other thread on how a dealer closed due to supply issues.

There is a decline in the production and supply of the musical instruments because of the disruption in the supply chain. Due to this pandemic, here is a non-availability of products on various online and offline channels due to lockdown. I've been recently looking for a bass amp combo and it was really tough to find the one I wanted available.
