Luckily, I already have most of them (Ivory II Grand Piano, ACD and Studio Grands), so wallet is safe this time But I wonder when they will release an update or any new instruments. It seems several VST producers are living of their old offers for quite a long time. Pianoteq at least adds new things to its product. And VSL puts out new VSTs regularly. But the most editors keep the same ones for quite a long time. All in all, Synthogy has some good stuff. The GUI is somewhat outdated, though.

IMO this price was the same for ACD last winter, so no surprise there that it would be $150 again.

Ron In my opinion it's too expensive for what it is today, since there are better options around, like ravenscroft, if you like the tone.

Well I broke down and got the American D. Just could not help myself.
Worse installation ever. Took forever and kept getting errors. I was swearing like a sailor.
So may settings I am getting dizzy. Not sure I have the patience for it.
Plays fine. Very stable. The pedal does not bother me like it does some people.
Will not comment on the sound since I have not had a real opportunity to fiddle with it.

Listening to some lost Ivory II ACD recordings. This one came out ok: https://app.box.com/s/yocqz84dhsubzgpz92ifg5rjekb3qrs6I agree that the price is a bit much when compared to what is out there now. But there's not much out there for Steinway that's come out since at least not that I know of besides the VSL. They don't compete in price and I haven't heard enough positive reviews or recordings to know if it's a suitable replacement. I wish I had the ACD installed so I could make some fresh recordings.
