Hi there, I usually play classical music, but I would like to learn jazz and improvise, but also continue to make progress in the classic.( i play medium to slightly advanced pieces) Until now I was in a music school (not classical) and also had a private teacher in order to advance in classical music, But I really want to learn jazz and to improvise. In the music school the course is very superficial and 30 minutes a week is not enough for me. That's why I would like to do an online course additionally to the music school. I don't know yet whether I will stay with the classical teacher. It's also a question of money, that's too much for me. (Musicschool, private teacher and online together) I would like to learn jazz online. It should be really progressive. Jazz looks so extensive, I don't even know what to start with, what to practice, etc. I like jazzpianoonline and open studio very much at first sight. Has anyone experience with them? In addition, I would like to continue to make progress in the classic way and instead of going to the private teacher, I thought I would also do something online, tonebase sounded very interesting. What do you think, which course can you recommend? Does it make sense to learn jazz and continue classical at the same time? I have a few hours per day to play the piano

There is Jazzedge with Willie Myette or Pianowithjonny who offer online course for non classical music.

Since you already have classical experience, I highly recommend JazzPianoOnline above all the others I have spent time with as the best overall. Bill's lessons are extensive and he is readily available to answer questions. His website is well designed and easy to navigate. Plus he offers private lessons for a reasonable fee.
I have tried out all the others mentioned. Piano With Jonny didn't impress me. However, others love it. Open Studio seemed "rushed" to me and overly focused on the blues. (IMO) The vast majority of my lessons have been with Willy Myette (JazzEdge). He has many, many, hours of lessons on his site, and group lessons weekly on Zoom. I have been a member for the most part of seven years.
Another option not mentioned here yet, is PianoGroove. I currently have a membership and find it works for me because they focus on the standards I love. They teach chords and progressions of course. But if you want to just play some great songs, they have lessons and transcriptions for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. I have been using it. Learning to use my own simple chords, then the beginning score, and then adding in parts of the intermediate, and even advanced scores, if I can. It's wonderful that we have all of these resources available to us at nominal cost.

Thank you for your answers. So Piano groove and piano edge (no Bull piano?) sounds good. Burtons is to expensive and Jazz piano online seems also very good but is there no option for an Annual subscription? It's More than I can afford my budget will be about 300 per year and to that i stay in my music school and continue perhaps classical online). I found jazz piano school, anybody has expérience with them ? So i m overwhelmed to choose. I really need something step by step, progressive, i m lost Otherwise

I suggest you private message Bill. You are young. He may want to help you. A lot of his lessons are free, by the way.

I agree with much of what has already been said about each of the courses mention.
I too, have experienced most (if not all) of them.
Since cost seems to be a significant factor for you .... The Piano With Jonny site is now offering a year subscription for $179.50 which is available until june 21.
As a beginning jazz student his site will be fine and for a reasonable fee.
Good Luck

I recently joined Open Studio Jazz. It's amazing in every way. I love their approach: emphasis on learning everything by ear, and feel and rhythms before getting too complex with theories and voicings. I also love their podcast. I started with Jump Start Jazz and I feel I am making progress. Guided practice is super helpful in getting into habits of practicing with focus and challenges. I love PEter and Adam's playing styles but also love their other players, Jeff Keezer and Fred Hersch who is so deep.

Another vote for Open Studio here excellent courses for all levels and aspects of Jazz. I would also recommend instead of just buying a class, to get one of their "access" passes like All Piano Access. With the All Piano Access you get to all the piano classes and some of their live Zoom classes. I believe you can get the All Piano Access either for a monthly fee or a year long pass for slightly less. Adam and Peter are great teachers.

Hi
A bit late to the discussion here, but in terms of what is available FREE, Open Studio has dozens, if not hundreds of hours of YouTube videos (and Podcasts) with either Peter Martin and/or Adam Maness (both professional Jazz Pianists). For me there is enough resources there, together with Dave Frank's excellent masterclasses that I don't feel I need to pay a site for additional tuition. Piano with Johnny has a lot of free YouTube videos (some very good), though I find him rather annoying, and he doesn't solely focus on Jazz playing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
However, if you're set on paying so that you get a more structured learning route, then I'd go with either Bill's course or Open Studio. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
Cheers

I just finished the Jump Start Course on Open Studio and am now in the Beginning Jazz Piano course. I enjoy the approach so far with the focus on ear training and phrasing.
