Hi! Is it possible to buy standalone triple pedal for FP30x? I can't find anything that would work with this piano.

As far as I can see, there is the KPD-70, which is three pedals on a bar-like structure to be used together with the 'furniture stand' KSC-70.

However, with a bit of DIY and assuming some handiness on your part, it could be modified for standalone use?

Hope this helps?

Cheers and happy pedaling,

HZ

Out of curiosity I looked for FP-30X wiring. I found this page:

Ir RPU-3 is similar in terms of electronics, who knows?, maybe it may be possible to make work, but at a risk.

Looking at both manuals (FP-30 and X), connectors are different but both support KDP-70 (perhaps Roland has two versions of it).

Also, look at what I found:

Yeah, modifying the KDP-70 might be easier and cheaper than modifying the RPU-3.

I did a similar thing with a Kawai triple pedal that was originally a "pedal lyre" type unit, but I used just the pedal box and attached it to a piece of wood. (Actually a "Billy" shelf from IKEA.)

In Kawai's case the pedal would touch the wood (well, particle board...) plate when pressed all the way down, so the tips of the pedals are now a little outside the plate. There's still enough area to keep the whole thing from tipping forwards.

Roland could be different.

I think one of these two Studiologic triple pedals will work:

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...fp-3-10-triple-piano-style-sustain-pedal

or

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...5-solid-piano-style-triple-pedal-sustain

Which one is correct depends on whether the FP-30X uses a normally-open switch or normally-closed switch pedal.
Just as a data point Roland’s own DP-10 single pedal is normally closed and works with the FP-30.

I use a similar studiologic double pedal on my Kawai ES-8 with no issues.

There's "works" and there's "works with modifications".

And then there's even "possibly works with modifications".

But basically there's just a proprietary Roland connector for the triple pedal and we don't know the pinout.

And if you want half-damper functionality then those Studiologics don't help.

@DSC

Unlike eg. the FP-90, which has three 6,3mm jack plug sockets for the three pedals the FP-30 has a single "all in one" DIN-socket for the three pedals.
Additionally the FP-30 has one single socket for a damper pedal with a 6,3 mm jack plug like eg the DP-10
So unfortunately no, those two pedal units won't work with the FP-30(X).
Of course you can plug one of the jack plugs into the single jack plug socket but then the corresponding pedal will only work as a damper pedal
