If you want more details just ask either on this thread or by pm. The past years the party didn't happen, due to covid. The threads on earlier years might answer some points.

Marina and Samuel Dragomiretzkaya. He plays jazz piano and she sings.

I am still using the salt you left for me. Shall I book you two in?

I can't promise "Danny Boy" this time.

For those who weren't at the previous party, the soloist knew we had an Irishman present so slipped that one in as a fun encore piece. I once got "Hava Nagila".

We're not likely.
Too much happening on the home front, I'm afraid.

I have just seen a news item about flooding in Salt Lake City. Are you ok?

We're fine. The weather has been crazy. Oppressive heat followed by occasional torrential rain. We're high and dry, although I haven't been to the basement; it could be a lake down there.

The theme next year will be jazz piano. I have professional soloists booked- Marina and Samuel Dragomiretzkaya. He plays jazz piano and she sings. You can hear them on YouTube. That will be for the big party.

The whole thing lasts as long as you want. The soloists will be here probably the weekend of 9/10 July. Guests usually start to arrive any time the week before. People leave during the week after.

There are 4 pianos here for you to use plus other instruments.

The house sleeps 9 before we have to start pumping up airbeds! We have never been fully occupied yet.

Various background activities are laid on. I don't have exact details yet.

Find Levski, Pleven province on a map of Bulgaria and you have effectively found me. Levski is a major rail hub and trains can be met to bring you to Gradishte village.

You can use this as a base if you are touring. For example the maid here is a whizz with the washing machine!

The whole thing is run like an Edwardian house party. In fact the wiring, internet, security system and plumbing are more or les state of the art. Everything else is antique. If you want more details please feel free to PM me. If you want a neutral opinion I imagine Johnstaff would give you a straight answer to a question.
