Very nice. I like the opening left hand progression very much; has a mystery about it. The melody invoked Frankie's "strangers in the night" for me. I would make the effort for a professional quality recording either with a quality microphone strategically place (even a good USB condenser mic) or just take the 'vst' route.

Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it!

The left hand opening figure and the initial melody are based on the dorian mode, which is whats giving it the sense of mystery i guess.

I think i will only go for a professional recording if i have a nice quantity of piano pieces that i want to record. For now, having composed only two pieces that im proud of, an iphone recorder and my playing is sufficient :P

I liked this one too. Some really nice moments there. The only thing I might suggest is that the second section (from 0:46) could do with a little more rhythmic variety in the melody. Not too much, just enough to provide a little more interest. Maybe a few syncopated moments. Still, it is very nice.
