AWARD CONCERT WITH THE FERRUCCIO ORCHESTRA BENVENUTO BUSONI
REGULATION
Art. 1 The Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni Orchestra and the SilVer Cultural Association with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Florence, announce the Second Edition of the International Piano Competition Prize 2021 Solo Piano and Four Hands Piano Edition: the event has as its purpose the deepening of knowledge music and the enhancement of the most deserving young people
Art. 2 The competition is open to Italian and foreign musicians and to residents in Italy with a residence permit or attending an Italian public or private institute, without age limits. Rehearsals will take place on 22, 23 and 24 October at the Lux Theater in Fucecchio.
Art. 3 The Commission, whose judgment is final and unquestionable, will express a judgment and may reserve the right not to award those prizes for which an adequate artistic level is not found. The jurors who have in place or who have had in the two years preceding the date at the beginning of the Competition didactic relations with one or more competitors, will refrain from participating in the evaluation and voting of the same. The Commission will be made up of eminent personalities from the music scene, internationally renowned artists and distinguished teachers.
Art. 4 All competitors must show up on the day and time established and, at the time of convocation, the execution order will be drawn by lot. Latecomers, at the unquestionable judgment of the Commission, will be heard in the queue of the other competitors and in any case within the time set by their call. The Artistic Directors remain available in each case to personally provide information about the evidence. At the time of execution, competitors must present an identity document and a photocopy of the pieces provided. Not transcriptions and facilitations are allowed.
Art. 5 Given the health emergency situation, all rehearsals will not be open to the public except for the final prize-giving concert.
Art. 6 All competing pianists will be given the opportunity to try the instrument. It is not compulsory to perform by heart.
Art. 7 All Finalist Competitors of the Competition will be offered accommodation until the end of the event. At the end of the Final Round the results will be announced. Each participant will have the right to view the minutes of the Judging Commission.
Art. 8 At the end of the Competition, a concert is scheduled for Sunday 24 October 2021 as part of the Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni Orchestra 2021 Concert Season. On this occasion, the overall winner of each Category will perform, under penalty of forfeiture of the prize awarded. The prizes will be awarded during the awards concert. The Prize will be awarded during the awards ceremony Busoni Orchestra: Certificate and Plaque of Honor.
Art. 9 The Artistic Direction reserves the right to make changes to this announcement. The dates indicated may be subject to changes based on the number of participants.
Art. 10 The Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni Orchestra declines all civil and moral responsibility towards the participants in the Competition. They are personally responsible for their physical and moral integrity during their stay and when traveling. The Association assumes no responsibility for any physical and moral damage to property or people by members.
Art. 11 Pursuant to Art. 10 of Law No. 675/96 on the "Protection of personal data", the Association informs that the data provided upon registration will be stored and used by the Association exclusively for the purpose of sending communications relating to the Association and that, pursuant to Art. 13 of the aforementioned Law, the data owner has the right to know, update, delete and correct his data or oppose its use.
Art. 12 Registration for the Competition implies total and unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
COVID-19 SECURITY THE FERRUCCIO ORCHESTRA BENVENUTO BUSONI UNDERTAKES THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE ANTI COVID-19 SECURITY PROTOCOLS:
• Manage access to the event venues (be it in the square or inside theatrical structures or similar), starting from the measurement of the temperature and all the problems that this may entail, • Manage distances within the structures
• Manage the cleaning and sanitation of toilets and perhaps in some cases quota access,
• Manage the cleaning and sanitation of all surfaces in contact with
• Manage the cleaning and sanitation of plants for the protection of operators,
• Arrange periodic sanitation procedures (daily, after each event for repeated ones, etc. etc.),
• Manage the shifts of those who work
• Manage waste
• Provide more time between one event and another,
• Update the knowledge and skills of professionals in the sector,
• Use suitable PPE,
• Think about social distancing devices, ask for a green pass or tampon.

Soloists section - Piano The program, of the maximum duration foreseen for each category, is free to choose.

Cat. "Prime notes" - born after 2014 - Maximum duration 5 minutes
Cat. A - born from 2011 to 2013 - Maximum duration 8 minutes
Cat. B - born from 2009 to 2010 - Maximum duration 10 minutes
Cat. C - born from 2007 to 2008 - Maximum duration 15 minutes
Cat. D - born from 2004 to 2006 - Maximum duration 20 minutes
Cat. E - born from 1999 to 2003 - Maximum duration 25 minutes
Cat. F - without age limits - Maximum duration 30 minutes

Piano section for 4 hands
The program, of the maximum duration foreseen for each category, is free to choose.
Cat. G - born from 2007 onwards - Maximum duration 8 minutes
Cat. H - born from 2001 to 2006 - Maximum duration 15 minutes
Cat. I - without age limits - Maximum duration 20 minutes


AWARDS
Candidates of each Category (EXCLUDING CATEGORY F and CATEGORY I) who have achieved an average of not less than 98/100 will be awarded the 1st Absolute Award Diploma, Medal, a scholarship of € 200.00 and the invitation to participate in a concert organized by the SilVer Cultural Association for the 2021/2022 Concert Season.
- The Absolute Winners of Category F (Solo Piano) and Category I (Piano 4 hands) who have achieved an average of not less than 98/100 will be awarded the 1st Absolute Award Diploma, Medal, a scholarship of Euro 400.00 and an invitation to participate in two concerts organized by the SilVer Cultural Association for the 2021/2022 Concert Season. - Candidates who have reported an average between 95/100 and 97/100 will be awarded the diploma of 1st Prize and Medal. - Candidates who have reported an average between 90/100 and 94/100 will be awarded the 2nd Prize diploma and Medal. - Candidates who have reported an average between 85/100 and 90/100 will be awarded the diploma of 3rd Prize and Medal. - All other candidates will receive a participation diploma. - The jury will be able to assign mentions to all those who have distinguished themselves with particularly deserving performances.
SPECIAL PRIZE ORCHESTRA FERRUCCIO BENVENUTO BUSONI: THE OVERALL WINNER OF CATEGORY F (SOLO PIANO) WITH A SCORE NOT LESS THAN 98/100 WILL RECEIVE A CONCERT WITH THE FERRUCCIO ORCHESTRA WELCOME BUSONI INSERTED IN THE 2021 SEASON. 29 - 30 AND 31 OCTOBER 2021.
- Concerts offered by Associations and Bodies will also be assigned, upon recommendation by the commission, to those who have distinguished themselves for their musical qualities. - A certificate will be issued upon request to all teachers of awarded students. - A Diploma will be awarded to the teacher with the highest number of awarded students. - The teacher with the highest number of pupils presented will be invited to the Judging Commission of the III Edition of the 2022 International Piano Competition.
