Here's the simpler original version as played by the composer-pianist John Lewis. OP RinTin 3000 Post Club Member Joined: May 2004 Posts: 3,206	This authentic rhythmic phrasing is how John Lewis and Benny Golson actually played beat 4 and beat 1 of the melody. It's more elegant, imo.
