I would be upset too, in the same situation, but IMHO the poor receptionist girl is not to blame. She is not a delivery guy, and she doesn't know how to manage a very big box with a DP inside if no-one tells her how to. Ok, she could read the symbols on the box but, hey, she is just a receptionist and her work is not to manage big boxes. And are you really sure that was the receptionist girl to accomodate the box in that way, and not the delivery guy or someone else?

Hi magic piano, I’ll reply to you because you have been always very nice to me. First,thanks for sharing the same feeling, indeed I was so upset that I did not sleep well tonight and I was almost in tears in front of her, after I calmly explained what has happened and got the silence treatment as a response.
I had a series of issues with the “poor girl”, who is just a few years younger than me, probably mid 20s. She has always been rude to me since the moment I checked in this hotel , I don’t like the way she talks to the other customers (I’ve witnessed to enough episodes), with a bossy and passive-aggressive attitude and rarely helpful when needed. It’s not just about me, this is going on for a while. The rest of the staff has been amazing so far.
Yesterday was the last drop for me, in line with the lack of care I’ve observed so far from this person. If the person showed that at least she cared about the issue, like I sincerely did countless times for my company when I was a customer assistant, when me or my company weren’t 100% accurate about something, this topic would not be here. Not even asking for apologies. That’s it from my side.
Hi guys, just bringing this back up since I found out that the girl/woman who misnhandled my P-121 is actually... a manager! And BTW I keep getting verbally abused by this person, even though I'm trying to avoid her as much as possible and ask things to any of the other receptionists (who are all amazing people), but this is difficult in practice. PS I'm doing my best to leave this hostel, but cannot find a place to rent.
I think I should do it. There are also other issues, like a loud fire alarm located on top of my bed which keeps me waking up and scare me at 4-5 am in the night, since somebody keeps smoking inside some far away room in this huge hostel. I don't even want to tell you about the kind of careless aggressive responses I got when I politely tried asking the managers about it.
