It's been some time already that I'm looking for a replacement to my Kawai CA97.
None of the options are 100% appealing to me, they either fall short at key action, sound or design..
I must say I'm a Pianoteq lover (soundwise) so I have no issues with "modelling", neither should it be a restriction.
Looking out for alternatives to the "traditional" brands, I've come across these models that I never heard of before (the upright V100 and the grand G1000) and boy are they gorgeous.https://www.viscountinstruments.com/instrument/physis-piano-v100/https://www.viscountinstruments.com/instrument/physis-piano-g1000/
I love their design as well as the fact that the control pannel is placed very conveniently and provided with a nice color screen as well as touch controls that dimm out to make the entire pannel look plain black like nothing was there, a true acoustic look.
Also, they provide the cabinet with a soundboard (vertical model) similar to the Kawai CA99 I guess (same sound system layout), the Grand model (G1000) is provided with 3 massive speakers that look awesome.
Very little information on youtube and zero reviews other than in Dutch language, but the recorded sound was pretty good in the recordings, though it's not enough to judge on it, so wondered whether anyone around here had some further information or real feedback from first hand... ?
Also I'd be interested in knowing why these things aren't as popular as some other brands despite being good looking and having nice features at least on paper..?
