Does anyone know of a 7/8 piano on the European market? I am moving to Berlin and am very interested but not sure if that is something I could easily find there.

... which means the entire keyboard is 7/8 the size of a normal keyboard. These are available for persons with particularly small hands, or small hand spans.

How did they used to call these pianos in metric Europe lets say, around the 1920s?

Or have they always been called 7/8 pianos?

Considering that violins (ditto cellos etc) come in different sizes, it would make sense that piano keyboards do also. I have played on one such upright piano - the unnerving thing is that the black keys that are usually narrow already, are now that much narrower.

There is a trick to make narrow sharps easier to grip. You can rub a coating of bees wax onto the top surface and it will make the key grippy without being sticky. Plus, it will clean off without damaging anything.
