Cringey? Entertaining? Painful?

I found it quite humorous.

In My Opinion, THIS is how unexpected discoveries are made!

1961-1964: Lester or Emerson Upright
1969-1992: Westbrook Spinet
1991-2021: Schomacker Model A (1912) "Schoowie"
2021-Present: Steinway Model A (1912) "Amalia"

OMG, this thread is like my only recurring tuning nightmare.

I'm tuning for a Chick Corea concert (never did in real life).

Finish tuning the best tuning of my life and signal to Chick it's ready.

Concert begins, he strolls out to the piano, band takes their places.

Sits down, raises his finger, strikes a soft middle C.

But the next note he hits is ALSO middle C.

And then he plays a big fat chord, and every note IS MIDDLE C.

EVERY NOTE.

He plays what would have been fantastic jazz runs, but it's all middle C.

Music stops, dead silence in a huge auditorium, and every head slowly turns to stare at me.

I die of professional shame, nightmare ends, I wake up, and vow to turn down any Chick Corea gigs... which I did once because of this dream.

Huh. Android could have saved some money on their Middle C commercial. (I'm glad they didn't though.)

I cannot be bothered with that guy. It's the same guy who fitted another piano with small steel hammers instead of piano hammers, and yet another piano with tuning forks instead of hammers, and yet another one with guitar strings instead of piano strings. YouTube buffoonery all for the sake of views. He would be better using his time and energy to help old ladies across roads.

End of rant.

Agreed.

I regularly scour youtube for piano tech videos, so he's appeared a number of times in my youtube feed. Irritating buffoonery, as you said. I started notifying his videos as spam.
