So, Black Friday is technically over, let's prove each other our insanity.

New stuff I got this week:

Kawai MP11SE + K&M Stand 18810 + second tier extension 18811
Ravenscroft 275
Modern U
Noire
Touche SE + complete instrument collection and sound expansions

I'm quite sure many of you can top this easily.

I was quite disciplined. I bought Heavyocity's Ascend (similar 'vision' to Noire but with a Steinway D), Relab/Kush Gold plate reverb, and Softube's Amp Room. Total spend of about $150, so I feel like I got a lot for my money. Of course, if VSL come out with another piano before *next* BF, I expect next year to be more expensive! Especially so if my aging Fatar controller finally gives up the ghost...

Seriously considering the Modern U… what are your thoughts so far? How does it compare with the standard MP11SE sound?

I simply love uprights, grew up playing one daily, far from it nowadays.

Not Black Friday related, but got my CLP 745 earlier this month. Enjoying it a lot!

They are all fantastic, though I didn't have much time to play them yet. Also, taking into account the comments on the forums here, you certainly can't make a big mistake here.

That is a nice music studio Marc. That Touche should be the business.

Thanks! Indeed, I'm eagerly awaiting it. I have a silent violin here, too. Never really played it. The Touche will be a nice replacement, and one that I will actually dare to play. smile I'm starting to wonder how well it works with Halion 6. That software has quite a few nice string and winds sections.

Hello,

My total Black Friday spend so far equals exactly 0,-.

But a few (just one or two) temptations haven't fully subsided yet...

Cheers and happy playing with all the new toys,

I added Lounge Lizard EP-4 from Applied acoustic systems

I have been looking for an electric piano VST and this seems to fit the bill.

It was on sale from 199$ to 89$

Have not installed it yet, so can't comment on it.

I did make an error when I ordered it and they rectified it very quickly. I was very impressed by this.

The only thing I did Black Friday was moving my KRK speakers from somewhere close on the desk to the furtherst edges close to the front wall. The sound stage is more 3D, but the bass was enhanced. I like it so far, but not sure how long I'll live with this kind of sound. Otherwise, I didn't buy anything. I feel like my next upgrade is 10 years or more down the road...

Bought lifetime subscriptions to a few piano lesson apps - I like playing around with them. Will see if I can get the lifetime of value out of them…

Got myself the Galaxy II pianos (not the "Vintage D", but all the others). They seem to be a little bit more "polished", and a little less "realistic" than the Ivory II Studio Grands, which I normally play, but they are very distinct, and they will serve perfectly to enable variation in my playing. smile

I succumbed to the VSL Bluthner 1895. It complements nicely the other VSL Synchron Pianos I have (all Bösendorfer). Next one will be the CFX... On next sale thumb

I finalized the logistics for the sale of an upright acoustic piano I’ve owned for 15 years, wrote to PreSonus support to inquire about the comparative performance of a revised studio monitor, and poked around the Apple refurb store to see whether it’s time to upgrade my 2014 MacBook Air 11” for a 2020 M1 13” version…and got frustrated by the complete lack of connectivity (add $300 for a docking station?!?).

Purchased nothing. I don’t impulse-buy.

Neat. If only they'd use a proper recording booth. Then I might agree with their price choice. But just recording it on stage with all the reverb contaminating the samples, that's not very professional for that price tag. IMHO.

Just a Andexinger bench and a Vox Continental.

Apart from that, though, I also placed an order for a new (yes - NEW (I'm an idiot!)) Mercedes Benz GLC 220 d. White with "Silk Beige/Espresso Brown" interior. VERY fully equipped AFA systems are concerned. Quite a looker if you ask me... wink

Delivery - 6 month from now. If I'm lucky...
