It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Sorry - long time lurker here and i've pretty much been leeching off the forums and gotten most of my answers there.
1. I'm want to buy an MP11SE but cannot find one in stock (USA). It appears that it will be made available in Sprint 2022 (at least according to the sites I've been to). 2. Tried looking for a VPC1 and still cannot find one that will ship it (if in stock). 3. I have an option to purchase to an RD-2000 from a friend and its at a great price (almost half of what he paid for). 4. Purchase a Nord Grand (I get it... , people hate the over priced brand here but its still an option). 5. Anticipation of VPC2/MP12 (pipe dream maybe?)
Me - classically trained pianist who still cannot sight read to save my life. Don't currently have a slab. I'm looking for a keyboard that will act as my main controller and I will never be moving for gigs so portability is not an issue. Would like something that feels like a piano when playing (GF series seems like the way to go).
Would you wait or just purchase the RD2000 now ? Money is not and issue here but at the same time, I don't like accumulating stuff as i find it a pain to resell electronics
Since 1) money is not an issue and 2) you do not like accumulating stuff and 3) portability is not an issue and 4) you would like something that feels like a piano when playing, why not considering buying a Kawai Novus or a Yamaha AvantGrand? The added value of these devices is that they look better than a slab and that you do not need to fiddle around with computers and speakers. Just my two cents, of course!
The PHA50 action in the RD2000 is actually very good. Not the level of Kawai's GF, but not too far off. Forget the Nord Grand, too expensive and you get the same action in the MP7SE.
Perhaps consider the CP88, it has a really good action, and only lacks escapement but way better value than the Nord Grand (and better action, too).

RD2000 for the half if its original price? Should be a 'no brainer' Take it, play it and if the VPC2 gets released and you wnat to switch you can always sell the RD2000 anytime with no or no remarkable loss of money
Sweetwater just got three VPC1's in; act fast, they won't last!

I miraculously was able to find an MP11SE, apparently in stock, last night (new) and have placed an order. The shipping label has been created and its making its way to the warehouse. Still think that there must have been some mix up somewhere and there is a chance that it would get cancelled :-).
But more importantly, thanks for all the feedback, thoughts and comments on this matter. It helped preventing me from compromising (almost bought a really banged up MP11) on a potentially bad purchase .
