Dear all, I’m excited to share that I am finally owning a Yamaha C2X I’m also taking this opportunity to thanks members who had ever given me their precious time advising me.

The journey of searching for the one is time consuming. Spending countless refreshing the selling-and-buying mobile app to see if potential grand appears. Spoken to a few who claimed their pianos are in great condition but photos (strings, pinblock and soundboard area) PM sent me was in pretty bad condition, some are really bad condition. I was also self-debating with what I could afford and what could possibly overwhelm in my small room. Spending hours and hours adjusting my piano size template....After selling my Yamaha U1 SH Silent piano, I got a W.Hoffmann V120. Not liking the decay (rather abnormally long), I sold it. Thought of just simple getting another upright and I’ll be good for years. That’s when my thought of realistically owning a grand piano is possible.

May whoever still searching for the ‘one’ be blessed with hope and never give up. All the best in piano hunting.

P.S: With some self acoustic treatment with acoustic blankets and 3D wallpapers, it isn't overly loud - no need using earplugs.

Congratulations on your C2X!

How big is the room that you have the piano in and how much louder is the grand vs the upright?

Congratulations Jolovan that's a wonderful piano!

My piano's voice is my voice to God and the great unknown universe, and to those I love.In other words a hymn. That is all, but that is enough.Life goes on, despite pain and fear.Music is beautiful, life is beautiful.

Hi, thank you.
My room size:
Height (ceiling): 252cm / 8 feet 3 / 99 inches
Width: 280cm / 9 feet 2 / 110.2 inches
Length: 355cm / 11 feet 7 / 139.7 inches

With additional small space my DP is placed (previous a wardrobe) now.

Not in term of db measurement. My former uprights is louder in a way that the sound 'slapped my face with deafening loudness' which made me wear earplug almost all the time.

My Grand can be louder and softer than my upright if you are asking about dynamic spectrum. But I do not need to wear earplugs even with the lid fully opened. Perhaps it's more of a 3D effect vs direct blow effect.

Hope it helps.

Thanks. It's a great experience to finally own a grand after dreaming for a few years. 😃

Congrats, fantastic choice. I've got a C2 and am extremely happy with it.
Funnily enough, even though this piano has the potential to be many times louder than my old upright, I generally play quieter on it.
