It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Thanks dogperson, it does make sense and I will work on those suggestions during the next couple of days. I came across this particular solo arrangement many years ago and periodically try to bring it up to scratch. I have until Monday to get it better.

Best wishes for being selected!
"Music, rich, full of feeling, not soulless, is like a crystal on which the sun falls and brings forth from it a whole rainbow" - F. Chopin "I never dreamt with my own two hands I could touch the sky" - Sappho
The last Vangelis piece for now, and one of the longest videos I've recorded on any instrument. For this piece, to emulate his distinct sound, I layered chorused piano with electric piano and used half pedal throughout.
Since the start of the Ukraine conflict, a number of people have played the Ukrainian National Anthem. Imagine by John Lennon would be an appropriate song when you hear the risk of war in different parts of the world.
The song was written during the time of the Vietnam war. Both John & Yoko were opposed to the war.
My, that’s a great, old memory! (And yes, I seem to still know the words) Thanks for posting 😊

The recording is very clear. Certainly sounds like a happy song. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks, guys. Always a pleasure.
I haven't had a chance to check in for the past week or two. Looks like Larry has been quite prolific. Good stuff! And Rick - I thoroughly enjoyed "Lean on Me"! Saw a couple others in there, too - apologies for forgetting who - but all were good. Thanks again!

I'm having trouble keeping up with the late May submissions. Hope I haven't forgotten any one.
keff - Adagio sustenuto. Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto is the first piece I put on my bucket list of pieces I wish I could play. I didn't know that my favorite section of it was available as a separate arrangement. Maybe someday ...
thepianoplayer416 - "Imagine" is a fitting sentiment for our times and a timely reminder of what could be.
LarryShone - "Vangelish", "The Infant" and "Missing". I liked all three pieces. I especially liked the use of strings the "The Infant". They were just the right touch.
OregonJim - "Happy Trails" was a great piece of nostalgia. A fitting piece for close to the end of the May Piano Bar. Happy trails until we meet again at the June Piano Bar.
Tim Adrianson - "Honor -- Steve Chandler" was a sensitive and thoughtful tribute for Memorial Day.
Final entry for this month. Its just something I came up with in which I'm playing arpeggiated chords in the RH while going down one note at a time with the LH.

Sounds nice, Larry! Good practice on the keys for sure.
