Thought I'd share this for those of you who don't know about Helen Schnabel. In this recording, she plays Beethoven's Piano Concerto in D major, Op. 61a.

(Which is basically a transcription of the same composer's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, which Beethoven had been requested to write by Clementi.)

I happen to have a soft spot for this concerto, and I like this recording quite a bit.

Pianist-in-training who changes his signature...alot.

I believe certain composers and their pieces in the less-played repertoire ought to be re-examined.
