I've done it. I've invested in some better recording equipment. That should be arriving soon. I dropped just a couple hundred to get what I think will be sufficient for a studio recording. Then it's off to the races. This album will be probably called "The Prismatic Improvisations" or something similar. It may eventually also have some poetry I write as companion material.

But first here is a little preview. Recorded the old-fashioned way with a simple mic that plugs into the iPhone (not a bad mic, but has all the annoying buzzing, brightness, and limitations). Regardless, this was a short, one-take burst, and an example of the kind of thing I'll be doing on this album. No, it's not to make money or fame. I have no delusions about becoming the next Eminem. Rather, it's so I can have a realized portfolio and cohesive channel for my creativity, to share with others (especially friends).

Hope you love this one. All improvised in the moment, based on a lot of practicing variations of things like this. Also, I love how this piano sounds with the lid closed. Enjoy. Thank you.

Very nice improvisation-beautifull piano tone!

My piano's voice is my voice to God and the great unknown universe, and to those I love.In other words a hymn. That is all, but that is enough.Life goes on, despite pain and fear.Music is beautiful, life is beautiful.

Thank you, Rich! I am glad you enjoyed it.

I like to share with piano lovers, musicians, teachers...whoever might appreciate my playing.

And I *think* I have the basics I need to do a higher fidelity recording next. So that'll be nice to experiment with as well.
