Hi, I got affected by 9/11 and became an actor. Currently, I am learning piano at Juilliard School. If any one could donate a free upright piano that works, I would arrange for moving expenses. email me at nrrampilla@hotmail.com or call me 212-286-8013.

I'm confused.

But best of luck with both school and finding a piano.

Stain, but I don't think he has any of those where he lives. I am pretty sure Starbucks has taken up every single retail space in the entire city.

nope. Amazingly there are even a few Macd's in Chinatown. A place where you can get lunch for a $1 from a street vendor, a place with incredibly diverse, inexpensive food, there's MacDs and they're always busy.

People coming here asking for 'freebies' better have a genuine story.

I'm totally appaled that this may not have been the case as of recently.....

I've never heard of a Juilliard student refer to themselves as learning an instrument at the school. They may study under someone, but they don't learn [insert instrument] there, given what it takes to even get into the place. BTW is the McDonalds on 57th across from the Parker Meridian still there?

If it's Starbucks, then wouldn't he be Rampilla the Barrista? This is the stuff of legend.

Was affected by 9/11, became an actor and am learning the piano at Julliard, and needs a free piano. That is quite a progression.

It does seem to be a peculiar story, and ossk8ter, you're right. No one says "I'm learning piano" not even if you're studying piano at Podunk University.

Rao, who are you learning from , er, studying with at Juilliard?

Even so, I can't imagine that anyone studying at Juilliard would want to take any junk piano that's out there. Doesn't Juilliard have practice rooms?

I'll be surprised to hear back from Rao...

By the way ossk8ter, across from the Parker Meridian? No... there's one further down the block between 5th and 6th Aves. (originally from NYC here...)

Best regards,
Daniel

I think the poster is legit, and we ought to give him exactly what he deserves.

Rampilla, Narayana R

c/o phone reverse look up. Sounds like someone who might be struggling with English, as Karen said. MIGHT be. As a courtesy I am not printing the address. Hard to believe someone so naive could be deceitful (meant seriously).

Reminds me of the poster with the $50,000.00 grand piano that fell off the back of a pick-up "delivery" truck.

What ever happened to him?

Huh?

Norbert, tell us more about your hamster. Could you tell us something about his/her musical interests? I think we can help. If this turns out to be a hoax, I suggest we donate the piano to another animal, preferably a rabbit. At least they sit erect.

In the meantime, I will pray for and your hamster. You've come to the right place with your request.

My dog howls along when I play. Since he obviously has musical interest and talent, surely he would be more deserving of a free piano?

Don't you think some of the dealers here should donate high end pianos for this poor student (or at least for the hamster)!!!
