I'm looking for an 88-key keyboard with a decent feel. Has anyone used the 990XP, and if so, how does it compare to the feel of something like a digital piano (Clavinova or etc)? It's so cheap ($350 at Guitar Center) compared to a lot of other keyboards.

I have one in my home office, got it even cheaper on special sale for $299 including shipping last year. Has no internal sounds (it is MIDI controller only) so it uses PC running software piano. It is an ugly-looking gray sheet metal box with virtually non-existent MIDI controls but with decent graded hammer action made by Fatar. Since it sits in a strategic location wink of my home office it sees much more playing time than my other keyboard (Previa PX110).
Subjectively I like a more trapezoid cross-section of black keys than many other digitals - makes it easier to play G and A between blacks with wide fingers wink . Black key plastic finish is matte (I prefer it to glossy), but very cheap looking. Again subjectively I like the action a bit more than that of my Previa.

Hmm, thanks. I liked the feel of the PX200, but also liked the fact that the 990 costs half as much, LOL.
