..it has this so-called "performance mode" that lets a pianist sound like a band. Left hand is the bassist and drummer/ rt hand is the pianist/rythm guitarist

Now that I bought John Melas's software I am finally comfortable with this BEAST of a DP.

gaffster,

Have you used the free software form Yamaha, the Voice Editor and Performance Editor before using John Melas's software?
I was thinking of purchasing the S90 Under Control DVD, perhaps my money is better spent with the software??

Thanks!!

Yes,
I have used them (well, you still have to use the free voice editor). I could have gotten by with them. Once I started using John's demo SW I just sorta got hooked on it and find myself loading patches from other MOTIF-based KBs, and creating a set-list driven Master USER Bank, etc, etc.

Oh and I really needed the Librarian to stay organised... It's really easy to download and save using the ".all" files

cool Also I like supporting people that go off and create product that is better than what a big corporation offers.

Oh yeah, Rap would be good..LVB was pretty fly.. Maybe I can create a random rap patch. Since I play live often, none of this multi-track midi stuff, even though the s90es can play midi from a memory stick... i prefer just to pull up a patch and Go.
