Play Debussy's "L'isle Joyeuse." It's a really hard song, but it's rewarding and you may be able to play it 3/4 speed with 60% accuracy after 24 years of grueling, all-out repetition.

I don't think your piano has a lowest note. In a cost-cutting measure, Mason and Hamlin decided to leave out the lowest note that year.

I recommend playing the opening of the Grieg Concerto. You can't miss striking the lowest note then (if you miss, you'll hit your pinky on the block of black wood/plastic, and everyone within a 1 mile radius will know about it....) unless of course you've got a Bosie Imperial or Stuart & Sons piano, in which case, good luck.
If music be the food of love, play on!

Sit at the keyboard, turn your head about 60 degrees to the left, and down about 15 degrees. It's right there.
I don't get the question. It must be funny, but I don't get it.

If you stand on tiptoe, you might almost be able to see it from the lowest question you have ever asked.

There's a thread on the Piano Forum about finding middle C which is way easy . Actually the question was about finding middle C on a 36-key keyboard. It's really not that intuitive if you are looking for visual cues. It happens to be the 3rd C from the right.

How do I find the lowest note on my piano blush? There's a thread on the Piano Forum about finding middle C which is way easy grin. But I'm stuck on how to find the lowest. Maybe I don't get your question right but it's just the leftmost key on your piano (unless you have a left handed piano which would be very rare)?

How to find the highest note on a piano.
It's a simple matter of relativity. Start at the lowest note, (that would be the one furthest to your left, and start counting, beginning with one, for each note you play going up the scale, (that would be to your right), until you get to 88. That one is the highest one.

How to find the lowest note on a piano.
Just reverse the directions above. Start at the highest note, (that would be the one furthest to your right, and start counting, beginning with one, for each note you play going down the scale, (that would be to your left), until you get to 88. That one is the lowest one.

It only gets confusing when you play the accordion below the equator.

Any single note that you are pressing is currently the lowest note on your piano. How will I know for married notes then? What about those notes that are just living together?

I thought I had several married notes on my piano, because whernever I played one of them, the other would also sound...but lately, that's not happening. Perhaps they got divorced? As usual in my family, I'm the last to find out.
A perennially hopeful amateur! Pianos: Boston GP178, Currently attempting: Bach: WTC I/1,5;II/12; Chopin Polonaise in A; Etude 10/5; Brahms Op 118 No 2 Intermezzo in D; Scarlatti Sonata L23.

Pianos, relationships, and science all agree: Friction can be good or bad, highly exciting or just a drag - it depends on the context.
